this morning after they were shot in oakland. it happened last night around 8:30 p.m.. police responded to the area of 66 avenue and international boulevard where they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. the two men were then taken to the hospital where they are listed in stable condition this morning. >> milpitas police arrested a man in connection with the bank robbery earlier this month. 32 year-old hunter thompson is suspected of robbing a chase bank on north milpitas boulevard on march the ninth. police say that thompson allegedly walked into the bank with a gun and handed a bank teller a demand note. the teller handed over cash in the suspect fled. police said that thomson also may be responsible for bank robberies in san francisco, redwood city and palo alto. >> napa police are investigating whether a man who died after being found and often flames on a pedestrian overpass was the victim of a homicide or committed suicide. motorists on highway 29 contacted authorities just before 4:00 a.m. to set morning to report a man on fire. the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
:00. reporting live in oakland, kristi smith, nbc bay area news. >>> new video into the newsroom now where the scene of an accident where a garbage truck hit a grandmother and a 7-year-old girl. this happened in san francisco along the embarcadero near broadway around 7:00 this morning. the girl was put inside an ambulance with her leg in a splint and her neck in a brace. the grandmother was also taken to the hospital. their injuries are considered to be nonlight threatening, though. police cleared the scene within an hour. about 20 people are without a home this morning after an overnight fire ripped through their apartment building. this all happened in the bay view district at 3rd and mckinnon. take a look at these flames. officials say the fire kept spreading and just became too tough to contain because of how close the buildings are. it took crews a few hours to finally control the fire. neighbors say an explosion woke them up about 1:00 a.m. >> i went to the front room and i seen the fire trucks. i went to my son's bedroom, which is in the middle. i seen all these flames bell owing t
